If Looks Could Kill: Rosalie was born relatively beautiful, even for a human, which only emphasizes the ethereal beauty she gained on being changed into a vampire.
She tall and statuesque, standing at just over 5'9", with a slim, elegant figure that would not be out of place on a model.
She has long, wavy, golden-blonde hair which comes to the middle of her back and dark amber eyes like the other Cullens, that turn to a deep black when she has gone without blood for a relatively long time (usually about 2 weeks), though when she was human she had bright blue eyes that were described as being 'like violets'.
Like all vampires, she has very pale skin, with dark purple bruises under her eyes which become far more pronounced if she has not fed recently, making her look almost sleep-deprived, which in human terms, she really is.
Personality: Rosalie loves the limelight. She adores attention and all public ceremony. She would likely admit herself that she is a fairly vain person, who enjoys dressing nicely and looking beautiful, and drinks in people's stares. What she would never admit though, is it makes her come across as arrogant and cold to people who do not know her well, which is the vast majority of people.
However, she is a deeply caring person underneath, when she feels inclined to show it, (although admittedly she does not always show it in the way you might expect), fiercely protective of her family and with a deep, passionnate love for her husband Emmett.
She often comes across as cold and aloof, rather as though she seriously dislikes people when really that isn't the problem at all. She simply takes a long time to trust people due to her intense desire to protect her family, the only people to be kind to her for a very long time, and so she will not trust people or acept them until she is perfectly sure that they are no threat.
It is believed that a certain character trait is exacerbated upon the change from human to vampire, and the Cullen's believe it to be Rosalie's tenacity.
History: Rosalie grew up in Rochester, NY in 1933; she had two younger brothers, a housewife for a mother, and her father worked at a bank. She was born beautiful and constantly praised, making her vain and, like her parents, wanted more out of life.
One day, Rosalie's mother had her dress up to deliver her father's forgotten lunch to his job, in hopes that the son of the bank's owner would take more interest in Rosalie. It worked. Royce King II began sending roses to Rosalie and, after making the comment that her eyes were like violets, Rosalie began receiving them, too. Their relationship was solely wooing and there for the physical attraction, Royce was too busy at the bank.
They became engaged and shortly before the wedding, Rosalie visited her good friend Vera, whom Rosalie was jealous of becaouse of her baby boy. When Vera's husband kissed Vera, Rosalie finally noticed the lack of love in her relationship with Royce that was so obvious in Vera's.
When walking home, shaken by her thoughts about her loveless relationship, Rosalie stumbled across her drunken fiance and his also drunken pals; Royce was bragging about his fiance's beauty which eventually led to Rosalie being brutally raped and left for dead whilst her fiancee and his friends ran off.
Rosalie was found by Carlisle, Esme, and Edward, the scent of blood having attracted Carlisle to the dying Rosalie. He carried her to a room where he made the eighteen year old a vampire, worsening the pain she was already in. She awoke in agony to voices of the Cullens arguing about Carlisle saving Rosalie just because they stumbled across her when she was dying. Although upon seeing her reflection, Rosalie's unhappy mood improved with her now vampire beauty.
Rosalie soon avenged herself by killing all who were with Royce that night. Having saved Royce for last, Rosalie donned a bridal gown and found her fiancé locked in a windowless room with a thick, vault-like door guarded by two men. Killing the guards, Rosalie entered the room where she tortured Royce to death.
Rosalie, while living with the Cullens in Washington, plays the role of the twin sister of Jasper Hale (she prefers to use her real last name rather than Cullen, differentiating herself from the other vampires in an attempt to distance herself from what she has become).
Rosalie found Emmett Cullen after he had been mauled by a bear and carried him to Carlisle who then changed Emmett. She and Emmett then got married soon after, and have been married many times to satisfy Rosalie's need for public ceremony and attention. She enjoys cars, and owns a red BMW M3 convertible. However, she usually goes to school in Edward's silver Volvo (as all the other Cullens) to try to remain inconspicuous. Carlisle believes that a certain characteristic is intensified once you become a vampire, and Edward believes it to be her tenacity. She has never tasted human blood before.

Talent(s): None yet discernable
Date of Human Death: (canonically unknown apat from year) 1933
Vampire Age: 92
Age they look: 18
Humans That Know: Bella Swan
Bitten: None, a fact she seems rather proud of
Picture:
RP Example: Rosalie lay on her bed, brushing her curls out until they shone. Her eyes were a dark butterscotch colour, denoting the fact that she needed to hunt soon.
She could hear the door open downstairs and Alice's chipper voice start jabbering away to Bella. Obviously Bella. Noone else ever came to the house. Luck was not with her today.
It was not that she disliked Bella, not really. She was quite simply a obstacle to Rosalie's vanity, the only person who had ever won over someone she couldn't. Rosalie had never thought it possible for that to happen. And she was jealous of the plain little human girl. Beauty and immortality had caused her nothing but pain.
She might have cried if she could, but it was probably for the best she couldn't, she didn't want them to know she hurt so badly. She didn't want to make anything worse than it already was. She was fairly sure Bella practically hated her already, there was no point making the two of them feel worse, and it wasn't even as if moping about it would help at all. There was nothing she could do. There never would be.
She sighed softly, flinging the brush onto her dressing table. She heard Alice's voice stop, picking up on the slight sound, and she jumped up, flinging a jacket on. She ran down the stairs, and, pulling the door open called out,
"I'm going for a walk, Alice. I'll see you in around an hour?"
Without waiting to hear the reply she stepped out into the rain and slammed the door behind her, feeling the cool water on her face.
It was too hard to stay inside and hear them talking and laughing, too hard to hear the perfectly human voice that embodied all she would never have. All she wanted and would never be. She couldn't listen to it or she would scream, she truly would.
And so she ran, for running blocked the pain. She ran until she was so far into the woods she was sure that nobody would ever find her. And only then did she sit down, smiling, and settle in to wait until it was safe for her to return
